Should these glasses become a favorite or nah? ^

So I have noticed some really awesome products recently that I just feel need to be mentioned.  You may want to store this post in the back of your mind so that next time you are grocery shopping, going to Rite Aid/CVS/etc. or giving a gift, you know some products that have been tested and proven worthy 😉 in my humble opinion of course! These are some of my recent favorite products over the past couple months.  I have a list of my all time favorite things that I will be happy to post if anyone cares to know! But these are the new guys.

  1. Tahiti Island Dream w/ Shea & Vitamin E body lotion – Bath & Body Works. This stuff smells kind of sweet at first, so I did not know if I would like it since I tend to go for more “fresh, clean” scents but I have noticed that many times, if I give a certain fragrance a chance, after I wear it all day and it mixes with my chemistry (that sounds weird), I sometimes change my mind and actually really like it.   I put this on when I got out of the shower about a week ago to try it out and then got dressed and went about my day.  I really didn’t smell myself throughout the day except for a wiff every now and then and it smelled nice, but when I took my clothes off that night and put on my pajamas I was like, “what is that amazing smell???” I was smelling pillows, towels, lampshades, everything in sight because the delicious smell engulfed the room.  I finally smelled the clothes I had just taken off and realized — it was the lotion! I’m telling y’all.. this stuff smells gooooood and it’s extremely moisturizing.
  2. Tuna Creations Hickory Smoked flavored single serve chunk light tuna – Starkist. This is an awesome quick way to get 19 grams (19!) of protein and some important nutrients for lunch! I love that I don’t have to drain before eating and I can add it to a salad or make a quick sandwich or eat it from the pouch!  The hickory smoke flavor gives it that something extra and makes it feel like I’m indulging in an expensive, nutritious meal.  But it’s super cheap!
  3. Born This Way foundation – Too Faced. I got this foundation with an Ulta gift card I got for Christmas after recommending it to my mom to try because of all the awesome reviews this foundation got and actually trying her’s to see how it worked with my sudden, extreme, oily, pregnancy skin.  This foundation is awesome.  It covers all of my blemishes and feels very light on my skin.  The best part is, I don’t get greasy by the end of the day and it stays put.  Definitely my new favorite high-end foundation.
  4.  3M Classic III stethoscope in the color “Lemon-Lime” – Littmann. I just bought my first Littmann stethoscope with some extra Christmas money and although I have not used it yet, as soon as practicum starts this semester, I will.  I am super in love with the bright color! It stands out just the right amount so hopefully it won’t get lost in my trashcan of a car, or my deep dark purse. 🙂
  5. Limited Edition Poppin’ Jalapeno flavored Doritos. MMM these were definitely an impulse purchase while running to get some staples at Wal-Mart.  I saw them and thought, “Yes, I have to have you.”  It’s really funny because Doritos are not a food I ever crave, like ever.  But the jalapeno flavor intrigued me and did not disappoint.  That is all. Try some.
  6. Nike Air Relentless 5 Running Shoe (Women’s) Color black/white/vivid purple/copa. I picked these out on Amazon and my parents got them for me for Christmas.  I LOVE how these shoes look on my feet! It sounds funny, but they just look really really cool if I do say so myself.. maybe it’s because they’re black? Idk. They just look very sleek.  I have been running in them and been pleasantly surprised because I usually hate Nike running shoes… like they usually LOOK good but do not support my feet enough for running.  I usually go for Asics, Saucony, or Brooks.  But these babies have proven themselves to be worthy contenders and they encourage me to work out when I wear them which is a major plus.
  7. A Kiss of Care & Color in Sheer Coral – Nivea. This is just a great lip balm.  I got it at Rite Aid about a month ago and I have used it every day since.  EVERY DAY. I like it because it isn’t hard, sticky, tingly, annoying, etc.  It just feels comfortable on my lips.  AND is gives a slight amount of coral color which is very flattering when I don’t feel like putting on any other make up.  It’s so nourishing and pretty which is ALL I ask of my lip balm.
  8. Angel’s Wings – Yankee Candle. A Co-worker bought me this candle for Christmas and it is actually my very first Yankee Candle.  🙂 I know they are great candles but I had just never purchased one or been given one.  This scent is lovely.  It is subtle, wintery, a little sweet, vanilla-ey, but not like those cake batter candles.  It makes our little apartment smell very homey and comfy.
  9. Peach infused White Balsamic Vinegar – Home Appetit. My mom put a bottle of this stuff in my stocking for Christmas this year.  I argued with her that it was oil not vinegar (because it looks like oil!) for days and now I feel bad because I actually read the bottle more carefully and found that she was correct.  It is a white balsamic vinegar infused with peach.  Whatever it is—it’s delicious.  I made some homemade dressing with it the other night for a salad I made for dinner and it was just special.  I think it will be great to have with a summer strawberry, chicken, pecan, mixed greens salad.
  10. Medicated wipes with 50% Witch Hazel & Aloe – Preparation H.  Ok you may be thinking, “she should probably keep that to herself” haha. But I use these for a different purpose than the obvious.  With pregnancy, came some raging acne in my case.  Some women glow, I got acne.  I mean BAD.  I have never struggled with much more than a few pimples around that time of the month but oh man…I got my fair share over the past 14 weeks! However, I learned that most acne medication and treatments that had always worked for me in the past (OBAGI Clenziderm) had chemicals that can be bad for Baby.  So I read that one of the best natural treatments is witch hazel.  My mom told me I should try hemorrhoid wipes because the active ingredient is witch hazel… so I did! And, although I still have some acne, it has gotten better since I have been using these medicated wipes. I give my face a quick wipe with one of these after I wash my face and before I put on moisturizer every morning and night.  Woo hoo!

If you made it to the end of this post, good job! Hopefully it was informative and helpful in some form or fashion.  🙂

God bless! – KB
